Really 2.5 stars.
Went Sunday during a Saints game and as expected it was busy. However the hostesses at the front were borderline rude. When I asked how long she shrugged her shoulders. We went back 15 minutes later and she said soon. 45 minutes later we had watched them clear 4 tables and still no call...finally we asked them and low and behold we were seated right away. Once seated the food was decent enough and the service was OK enough. I had the seafood po'boy. Fired seafood was OK, too much bread for me. Wife got a salad that they did not mess up.
We went back a few days later on a Thursday night (wanted away from french quarter and it was near our hotel - Harrahs) and no crowds or hostess issues. Service was good. Ordered the Nachos and they were alright enough, not great. Good size though.
Nothing special about this place. Seems like a good place to catch a Saints game though if that's your thing. -

We went into watch a football game. It was on one screen so we stood for the entire game...even while eating. There seemed to be a lack of bar stools. The area in front of the big screen was set up for a party so the entire 3 hours we were there no one sat there. What a waste of space.
The food was OK. We had a mullefetta and an alligator sausage poboy. The best part of the meal was the fries.
Unfortunatly there were no waitstaff working our area so we ordered from the bar. This also meant we had no silverware or ketchup. So when our foot arrived we had to hunt around for those items.
Over all an OK experience but OK isnt good enough for New Orleans. There are too many other places for good food to watch a game and maybe the next place will have some barstools. -

Manning's was just ok, but why settle for just ok in the best food city in the world?
I can definitely see the appeal of coming here to watch a game. The chairs and TVs are plentiful and the recliners are a nice touch.
My friend and I went here for lunch and were kind of underwhelmed. She got a big ass cheeseburger that was nothing to write home about. I ordered a po boy which was ok but I'm quite sure there are better to be had. The gumbo however was pretty delicious.
What kinda ruined it for me was the unbelievably slow service. It took so incredibly long to pay the bill that I almost missed a flight. At one point I got up and tried to find a waiter, a hostess, literally anyone that could help me but there were no staff out at all. They were all in the back dicking around while I was panicking. I think it's pretty unprofessional to have a restaurant completely not staffed and leave customers wondering what to do next.
Because of this experience I wouldn't go back. But judging the food only, it is decent and the menu has something for everyone. -

I had to wait to write this review.
I came to Manning's while in New Orleans on vacation and a bit of work.
It was also the NBA finals. I was super salty that both the teams in the finals was anyone but the Lakers .. but if I was gonna root for anyone it was gonna be a team from the coast.
Welp, I ended up pulling up here for the game. Mannings had great reviews and the food selection for the game was awesome.
I pulled up for what was going to be a very long and sad game. It was suppose to be CA va Canada.
The restaurant is something to see. Huge in size, a nice backyard back restaurant vibe And y'all know how that game worked out.
I'll be back for the food and hopefully carry no memories of that horrible NBA finals lol
